Laser Hair Removal
With our laser hair removal treatment we have a consultation before treatment to have a look at your hair and skin type to make sure we are choosing the right machine. For some clients we may use multiple machines for different areas.
Diode, Nd-Yag, and IPL are different types of machines we use in both of our clinics. One of our licensed therapists will recommend the most suitable treatment for your unique skin tone and hair type.
-IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) removes unwanted hair by using light to heat and destroy hair follicles in the skin. This disrupts hair growth by making the hair weak which causes it to fall out within the first couple of sessions.
-Nd-Yag uses a laser which has the longest wavelength of all lasers (1064nm) and as such shows decreased affinity with absorption in the epidermis melanin—reduced absorption results in less skin heating in comparison to other hair removal systems.
Nd-Yag is the safest laser for dark skin types.
-Diode laser targets multiple follicles at once making it very effective on large body areas. The hairs will begin to fall out about two weeks after treatment as the damaged hair follicles.
Most clients will witness up to 80% hair reduction with the recommended number of 12-16 treatments, alongside top-up treatments as necessary.
